Voluntary Sector Support

Volunteer Support Fund

We are inviting charities and community groups from across Horsham District to apply for funding towards projects that help support your existing volunteers and create more volunteering opportunities.

The Volunteer Support Fund offers grants of between £500 and £4,000, which could be used for:

  • Costs associated with recruiting and managing volunteers (e.g., staff costs (Volunteer Manager), advertising and marketing, DBS checks, interview and induction processes, etc.)
  • Volunteer recruitment events (e.g., volunteer fairs or open days)
  • Increasing the diversity of volunteers
  • Volunteer training costs
  • Volunteer expenses
  • Developing resources and policies to improve and support volunteers
  • Support for volunteer health and wellbeing
  • Opportunities to reduce barriers to volunteering (e.g., physical, cultural, or financial; lack of time or transport; lack of confidence or not being aware of volunteering opportunities)
