Residents may be aware of the Council initiative to ensure the village and surrounding areas have access to good, fast and reliable digital services connecting to the Internet. With the likely ending of the old BT copper network sometime in the next couple of years its important we move with the times and adopt the new technology based on full fibre optic networks. The government Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme provides an investment to establish the initial network infrastructure in approved rural areas such as Slinfold. The network operator F&W Networks is working with the Slinfold Parish Council to prepare for this deployment and is currently checking the viability of this scheme by asking for residents to register their interest. We need your support for this to be successful and gain the 275 pledges needed.
