GDPR – General Data Protection Regulations

Changes to how we use your Personal Data

One of the biggest changes to UK data privacy law comes into effect on 25th May 2018. The General Data Protection Regulation, also know as GDPR, means that you’ll have more control over how your data is used and it ensures that organisations protect your data better.

To reflect these changes and new obligations, we have published a privacy notice which tells you what we do with your personal data, how it is used and your rights as an individual under the law.

Data Protection Policy

Slinfold Parish Council regards the lawful and correct treatment of personal data as critical to the success and effectiveness of its operations. It is also vital for maintaining the confidence of those we serve.

Our policies:

  • clearly set out responsibilities and accountabilities
  • communicate to our employees and members our values and expectations about handling personal data
  • provide for data security and data breach management
  • set out how we manage people’s data protection rights.

This reflects how important it is to us to make sure that we process personal data fairly, lawfully and transparently and in compliance with Data Protection principles and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
