The Parish Council has been in contact with WSCC and Stagecoach about the 63 bus. Stagecoach has not responded but WSCC has stated the 63 is currently commercially viable but not running reliably, which it should under the regulations for running a bus route. The bus is not able to maintain a regular timetable. The choices were either to put another vehicle into the route, which would cost more than £240,000 per year to run, or to shorten the route. The value for money for a public subsidy of that size would be difficult to justify so Stagecoach have adjusted the route to no longer run through Slinfold. We will let you know once Stagecoach has responded.
